  This was a nice, quiet place for a light, but filling Seafood restaurant. Fair warning, though, Cairns is a family getaway type of place, and I was there outside of the tourist season. I could see Splash crowded and busy at the height of the season. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Recommended, if you want to sit by yourself, eat the freshest seafood (it is Australia you know), and look out at the ocean, in a non-touristy kind of evening.

  Ordered the seafood platter and grilled barramundi. Fish was fantastic, but the prawns and scallops were over cooked and dry, their flavor taken away by sauces. I expect they were frozen. Bug meat was good. Over priced and waited a very long time. Service was ok, although felt rushed when the waiter came over twice in 15 minutes to take my plate away, despite still eating (picture mouth full of bread, trying to say "I'm not done yet"...) Port at the the end was a lovely touch
